Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide
Basic Connection Reset (Solves most issues)
- On your iPhone, navigate to Settings → General → CarPlay
- Find and select your Magic Link device (it will have a similar name to the Bluetooth name)
- Tap "Forget This Car"
- Return to Settings → Bluetooth
- Find your Magic Link device in the list and tap the (i) icon
- Select "Forget This Device"
- Turn off Bluetooth completely
- Turn off WiFi completely
- Restart your phone completely (power off and on)
- Turn Bluetooth back on and wait for the Magic Link device name to appear
- Tap to reconnect
Additional Steps for Persistent Issues
If the basic reset doesn't resolve your connection issues, try these additional steps:
Check for updates:
- Make sure your Magic Link firmware is up to date
- Update your phone's operating system to the latest version
- Update the Magic Link app to the latest version
Power cycle your Magic Link device:
- Unplug the Magic Link from your vehicle
- Wait 30 seconds
- Plug it back in and wait for it to fully start up
